Navy F/A-18C Hornet aircraft provided armed overwatch for friendly forces. A show of force was requested to deter any potential enemy action in the area. The show of force (with flares expended) was successful as no enemy action was noted.

Kandahar
Air Force MQ-1B Predator aircraft were performing armed overwatch for friendly forces. When an active enemy rocket position launched a weapon, a missile was released on the confirmed coordinates of the enemy position, destroying the threat to friendly forces.

Almar
Air Force F-16C Fighting Falcon aircraft were providing armed overwatch for Coalition and friendly forces. The aircraft were also providing reconnaissance of the area. When the friendly forces reported receiving enemy fire, the coordinates of the enemy firing point were passed to the aircraft and precision guided munitions were released on the enemy target. The munitions were successful in ending the enemy fire. Then a Coalition vehicle patrol reported taking enemy fire and requested a show of force to deter the enemy fire. The show of force (with flares expended) was a success as the enemy stopped firing.
