U.S. army officials say gunmen have opened fire at an army base in central Texas, killing and wounding multiple victims.
The incident started Thursday afternoon at Fort Hood, Texas, with U.S. media reporting at least seven people killed and 15 wounded.
Media reports citing officials say at least one gunman is in custody and another is on the loose. Initial reports say the two shooters were wearing military uniforms. It was not clear whether they were civilians or military personnel.
The army base has been put on lockdown as authorities hunt for the other suspect.
