
US Military: 4 American Soldiers Killed in Iraq

The U.S. military says four American soldiers have been killed in roadside bombings in northern Iraq, and in southern Baghdad.
Military statements Tuesday say three of the soldiers died in the attack in northern Iraq, and one in the capital. The exact location of the bombings was not given.
In other news, Iraqi police say a roadside bomb attack near the northern city of Kirkuk killed a police chief and four of his officers.
The blast struck a convoy carrying the chief of police, Maj. Zaid Hussein Khalaf, in the town of Armili.
In Baghdad, police say a bomb blast struck a convoy carrying employees of the Iraqi Health Ministry, killing one person and wounding at least five.
