
General Dynamics Receives $65 Million for USS Hartford Repair Work
GROTON, Conn. – The U.S Navy has awarded General Dynamics Electric Boat a $65.2 million contract to perform repair work on USS Hartford (SSN-768), a Los Angeles-class submarine damaged in a collision March 20. Electric Boat is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD).
Under the contract, Electric Boat will install a hull patch, bridge-access trunk, port retractable bow plane and the sail, which were fabricated under a previously awarded contract. In addition, Electric Boat will perform selected maintenance work on the submarine.
