09 July 2009

Thales and Boeing have signed a teaming agreement to offer a low-risk tactical training solution to Army Aviation.

"This agreement continues Thales's longstanding partnership and close working relationship with Boeing," said James Kilazoglou, Thales's General Manager for Training Simulation & Aerospace in Australia.

"Thales is proud to support Army Aviation by providing a unique range of training and simulation services and solutions enabling advanced training of defence force personnel."

This teaming agreement jointly progresses Thales's and Boeing's existing support to Army Aviation through the delivery of rotary aircrew and maintainer training at the Army Aviation Training Centre in Oakey, near Toowoomba, Queensland.

Thales and Boeing bring proven capabilities in battlefield simulation, after-action review and training scenario design to create a solution that meets Army Combined Arms Training System (ACATS) requirements.

"Boeing is pleased to team with Thales to offer a low-risk effective training solution to Army Aviation aircrew as part as their battlefield mission rehearsals," said Mark Brownsey, Senior Manager Training Operations for Boeing Defence Australia.
