MND-B Soldier dies of combat-related injuries

Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO

BAGHDAD – A U.S. Soldier died June 2 of combat-related injuries after an improvised explosive device detonated near a patrol in eastern Baghdad.

The Soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The names of service members are announced through the U.S. Department of Defense Official Web site at http://www.defenselink.mil/. The announcements are made on the Web site no earlier than 24 hours after notification of the service member’s primary next of kin.

The incident is currently under investigation.
