
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Awards $10 Million Contract to SAIC
--Company to Provide Environmental Compliance Support to Military Civil and Federal Agencies
SAN DIEGO and MCLEAN, Va., June 25, 2009 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (NYSE: SAI) today announced it has been awarded a new prime contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) - Mobile District, South Atlantic Division, to provide environmental support to military civil and federal agencies. The multiple award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract has a five year base period of performance and a total contract ceiling of $10 million for SAIC.
The USACE South Atlantic Division is one of eight Corps regional offices, responsible for the eight southeastern states. Through its five district offices, the Division manages military construction, water resources, and environmental programs throughout the region. Under the contract SAIC will provide a broad range of architect and engineering services in environmental support areas to military, civil, and federal agencies as required.
