PARIS AIR SHOW - June 15, 2009 -  Pratt & Whitney has signed additional purchase orders with TCS Group to manufacture critical engine components for the F135 propulsion system. These new orders, signed today at the Paris Air Show, have a potential value of more than $19 million over the life of the program. Pratt & Whitney is a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX) company.

“Through production of other critical F135 engine parts, TCS Group has already demonstrated its ability to deliver key components meeting quality and cost requirements,” said Warren Boley, vice president, Pratt & Whitney F135 engine programs. “We look forward to continuing our relationship with TCS Group on the F-35 Lightning II program.”
Pratt & Whitney awarded TCS Group purchase orders for oil nozzle components for the main engine bearing compartments, and boroscope adapters, which facilitate internal inspection of the F135 engine.

“TCS Group is pleased to work with Pratt & Whitney on the F135 program and we are proud to produce these critical components for the F135 engine on the F-35 Lightning II,” said Paolo Picchio, president, TCS Group. “We look forward to continuing our work with Pratt & Whitney as we successfully transition the F135 program into the production phase.”
