Sri Lanka condemns attack on embassy in Norway

New Delhi, April 13, IRNA -- Condemning the attack on its embassy in Oslo by suspected LTTE sympathizers, the Sri Lankan government on Monday charged the Norwegian Government with negligence in providing security to its diplomatic mission in the country.
Sri Lankan Foreign Secretary Palitha Kohona said that it had been apprehensive of such an untoward incident following the recent demonstrations by LTTE supporters in the Scandinavian nation, All India Radio (AIR) reported.
Kohona demanded stringent action against the criminals behind the attack and expressed hope that the Norwegian authorities would act to prevent any further acts of this nature.
Around 100 Tamil demonstrators tried to storm the Sri Lankan Embassy in Oslo on Sunday.
