SAIC Awarded $50 Million Contract to Support Navy Reserve Forces Command

SAN DIEGO and MCLEAN, Va., Feb 04, 2009 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- Company to Provide Professional Support Services Including Strategy, Information Technology, Logistics, Maintenance, Engineering Analysis and Training

Science Applications International Corporation (NYSE: SAI) today announced it has been awarded a contract by the Fleet & Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Philadelphia Office to provide professional support services to the Commander, Navy Reserve Forces Command (CNRFC). The multiple-award contract has a one-year base period of performance, four one-year options, and a total value of $50 million if all options are exercised. Work will be performed in New Orleans and at other locations as required.

The CNRFC provides mission capable units and individuals to the Navy and Marine Corps team through the full range of operations. The Navy Reserve represents 20% of the Navy's total force and is critical in order to meet growing global commitments. Under the task order, SAIC will provide professional services as required in areas including strategy, information technology, knowledge management, logistics, maintenance, training, engineering analysis; and technical, maintenance and operational support.
