Soldiers killed in aircraft crash

Multi-National Division – North

TIKRIT, Iraq – Four Coalition Soldiers died Jan. 26, when two aircraft crashed in Northern Iraq.

The cause of the accident does not appear to be the result of enemy action. An investigation is ongoing.

The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.

(NOTE: This is a correction to MNC-I Press Release No. 20090126-01, in which it specifies the number of aircraft involved in the accident.)
