Zionists claim rockets hit Israel
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Jan 8, IRNA -- Zionist sources on Thursday claimed that explosions had been heard in several parts of the occupied Palestine.
According to the claims which have not yet been confirmed by independent sources, at least three Katyusha rockets have been fired from Lebanon into northern Israel.
In response to the claimed attacks, the Zionist forces hit back Gaza with four artillery shells.
So far, no Palestinian group in Southern Lebanon, including Hizbollah, has confirmed the rocket attacks, and even the Israeli sources see it unlikely for the Hizbollah to have fired those rockets.
An important point is that Hizbollah, basically, is not present in the region which Israel has claimed the rockets have been fired from and the place is mostly used by international forces and is a center for foreign aid camps.
Some analysts believe that the claim is a pre-planned scenario by Israel to materialize its objectives. They also believe that the Zionist regime is currently trapped in the Gaza quagmire.
Zionists military leaders are of the view that Israel is once again facing the failure it had experienced in its 33-day war against the resistance movement in 2006.
The Zionist regime, in order to justify its ceasefire with Hamas, has planned the scenario to convince the Israeli public opinion that admitting the ceasefire aims to prevent opening another warfront from Lebanon and to escape the risk of endangering the Israeli security.
The Zionist regime had previously announced its concern about the outbreak of conflicts in northern Israeli lands from Lebanon.
Meanwhile, the Qatari based Al-Jazeera TV network announced on Thursday that it is still not clear that who had fired the rockets at the northern Israel and that how many rockets were fired .
Chief of Beirut bureau of the network said that if the rockets were fired by Hizbollah or the Lebanese resistance movement the number was far more than those fired.
He added that during the 33-day war, the Lebanese Hizbollah fired 107 rockets in only one day.
