CAMP ARIFJAN, Kuwait (NNS) -- During a brief stop on his way to Afghanistan, Commander, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, chief of civil engineers, addressed Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4's wardroom and chiefs mess during a luncheon at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, Dec. 4.

While at Camp Arifjan, Rear Adm. Greg W. Shear toured some of the projects and spoke with Seabees at the project sites. One site Shear visited was the Warrior Return Unit Charlie Company is constructing.

"It felt good to have him on the project," Builder 2nd Class (SW) Bayardo Molina said. "Once we completed our brief, he talked to us about the deployment and our Navy background. It was great to have the 'King Bee' take not only an interest in our product, but also an interest in us."

Shear was also briefed on NMCB 4's current missions and force laydown. Shear was impressed and appreciative of the job NMCB 4 has done since the beginning of the deployment. "You are responsible for a huge footprint and my hat is off to you for the great job you are doing. You are making a real name for yourself. The way you are doing so many things with so few people is quite remarkable."

NMCB 4 is deployed to U.S. Central Command, European Command, U.S. Africa Command and Southern Command supporting construction requirements across the theater of operations.
