Company to Design and Implement Enterprise Resource Planning System to Enhance Operational Efficiencies
Science Applications International Corporation (NYSE: SAI) today announced it has been awarded a task order by the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program Office to provide professional services to design and implement an ERP system across the NAVSEA enterprise. This single award task order has a one-year base period, a single one-year option, three one year award-term options, and a total value of more than $115 million if all options are exercised. Work will be performed by SAIC's wholly-owned subsidiary Eagan, McAllister Associates, Inc. (EMA) at locations throughout the U.S., including the Washington Navy Yard. The task order was awarded under the Seaport-e contract.
The mission of NAVSEA is to develop, deliver and maintain ships, submarines and combat systems for the U.S. Navy. Under this task order, SAIC will assist NAVSEA with the design and implementation of an enterprise-wide ERP system to include the organization's financial, human resources, manpower and training systems. SAIC will provide services including requirements analysis, systems engineering and integration, training, software implementation, testing, data validation and transformation. The new system will replace multiple, disparate systems and streamline core processes and improve operational efficiencies.
"This task order award is an excellent opportunity for SAIC to assist the Navy with the implementation of systems that will enhance their long-term business practices," said Debbie James, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager. "The work SAIC will perform is vital to providing our naval warfighters the tools to manage their future force."
