Pakistani PM for involvement of Kashmiris in dialogue process

Pakistani Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani Friday expressed the belief that Kashmris should be an integral component of the ongoing peace process as they are primary stakeholders.
Addressing Pakistani-Kashmir Council as its Chairman in Islamabad, the Prime Minister said the current, peace process, between Pakistan and India, has raised the level of expectations, of the people.
"The peace process, could become a symbol, of peace, tranquility and fraternity in South Asia".
Pakidtan and India have fought two of their three wars over Kashmir since their independence in 1947.
Kashmir is on the agenda of the so-called composite dialogue of the two countries but there is little progress on the issue.
"The frequent meetings of the Pakistani leadership with the Kashmiri leaders also reflect our approach of greater involvement of the Kashmiri leaders with the peace process," Gilani said.
He emphasized the need for resolution of all outstanding issues with India including the core issue of Kashmir for durable peace in the region.
He said Pakistan is ready to reverse the course of confrontation in South Asia and to start a journey of peace and accommodation to provide a better environment for our people to prosper and develop.
Prime Minister Gilani said that peace and stability in South Asia can only be guaranteed if all outstanding issues between Pakistan and India including Kashmir-dispute are resolved.
He hoped that both Pakistan and India, would live up to the expectations of their own people as well as to the people of Kashmir so that the dream of lasting peace in South Asia can be materialized.
The Prime Minister assured the Kashmir people that Pakistan will always stand by them at all times, until they achieve the right to self-determination.
He reaffirms Pakistan's moral, political and diplomatic support for the oppressed Kashmiri people and to their principled struggle.
The Prime Minister said the last six decades, the Kashmiri people have been courageously struggling for the realization of their inherent right to self-determination.
He regretted that the on Jammu and Kashmir which is the first document recognizing the right of self-determination is pending on its Agenda.
