
New Era In Defense Computing Begins At Central Pa. Navy Base

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (NNS) -- The Defense Enterprise Computing Center (DECC) Mechanicsburg held a change of command ceremony at Naval Support Activity (NSA) Mechanicsburg July 11.
Capt. Patrick O. McCabe, relieved Capt. Anne Dunne-Hayes, and took leadership of more than 300 employees and data processing services for the Navy, Marine Corps, and the Defense Logistics Agency.
"It's an honor to command DECC Mechanicsburg and serve our customers," said McCabe. "We'll not only continue the excellent work accomplished on Capt. Dunne-Hayes' watch; we'll build on it to serve our nation's warfighters."
McCabe previously served as commander of the Navy Supply Information Systems Activity also on NSA Mechanicsburg.
The Mechanicsburg DECC provides computing power and network connectivity for a wide range of Department of Defense (DoD) financial and logistics applications such as military and civilian payrolls, military equipment replacement, supply replenishment, and military transportation.
The Mechanicsburg DECC team is part of the DoD computing environment managed by the Defense Information Systems Agency.
