The Department of Defense announced today its recruiting and retention statistics for the active and reserve components for the month of June.
· Active Duty Recruiting.
June Monthly. All services met or exceeded recruiting goals for the month of June (below) and for fiscal 2008 to date.

Active Duty Retention. Retention remains strong in the Army, Navy, and Marine Corps as each are meeting or exceeding year-to-date goals.
· Reserve Forces Recruiting.June Monthly. Five of the six reserve components met or exceeded their accession goals for June 2008.
