Sagem Défense Sécurité delivers 1000th SIGMA 30 gyrolaser artillery pointing system

Eurosatory Exhibition, Villepinte, June 18, 2008 -- On the occasion of the Eurosatory 2008 Exhibition, Sagem Défense Sécurité (SAFRAN Group) announces it has delivered the 1000th SIGMA 30 inertial pointing system to Thales for its 2R2M 120mm mobile mortar system.

Developed and produced by Sagem Défense Sécurité, the SIGMA 30 is a land-based pointing and navigation system for artillery pieces, enabling highly accurate firing on short notice, even without the use of GPS.
