HAWAII (NNS) -- Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Light 37 (HSL-37) held a change of command ceremony May 22 at Hangar 103, Marine Corps Base Hawaii.

Cmdr. Brian Teets relieved Cmdr. Alvin Holsey and assumed command of the HSL-37 "Easy Riders."

Under Holsey's watch, the squadron flawlessly deployed seven detachments for 20 exercises, two Carrier Strike Groups and two Expeditionary Strike Groups in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.

Holsey's innovative spirit and steadfast emphasis on communication, qualification and a culture of fitness provided the catalyst for numerous efficiency and combat-capability improvements, resulting in positive and longstanding affects on HSL-37, the Helicopter Maritime Strike community and naval aviation.
