Operation Siegfried Line nets detainees
1st BCT PAO, 4th Inf. Div., Multi-National Division – Baghdad
FORWARD OPERATING BASE FALCON, Iraq – Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldiers detained numerous suspected criminals in the Bayaa community as a result of Operation Siegfried Line May 24 in southern Baghdad.
At approximately 11:45 a.m. Soldiers from 1st BCT, 4th Inf. Div., MND-B, detained 40 suspected militants for questioning.
Soldiers from 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, MND-B, detained a known criminal at 12:15 a.m. during an early morning operation in the Jihad community of southern Baghdad.
“With the help of the Iraqi citizens, the Iraqi Security Forces and the 1st BCT ‘Raider’ Brigade, can rid the streets of these thugs and criminals,” said Maj. Dave Olson, 1st BCT Spokesman, 4th Inf. Div., MND-B. “Together, we can provide a safe and secure environment for the Iraqi citizens where they.”
