COMALAPA, El Salvador (NNS) -- Seven U.S. congressional representatives on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee visited El Salvador and Costa Rica on a fact-finding trip, Feb. 29.
U.S. Reps. Jerry Costello, Henry Brown, Peter DeFazio, Cliff Stearns, Michael Capuano and Mazie Hirono visited Forward Operating Location (FOL) Comalapa to greet some of their constituents.
The representatives were given a brief presentation about the FOL by the Commanding Officer, Cmdr. Charles Groves, followed by a tour of the P-3 aircraft by the aircrew.
Yeoman 1st Class (SW/AW) Joshua Jones, administration supervisor for Patron 4, said "I was happy to meet my representative Maizie Hirono and tell her what a great job she was doing in our state."
Jones is stationed in Hawaii and currently deployed to the FOL.
As the representatives walked around the FOL, they expressed their appreciation to the Sailors for their service and sacrifices.
