Pakistan, Bahrain Defense Forces Strengthen Relations

MANAMA, Bahrain (NNS) -- A delegation of Pakistani defense officials, including the secretary of Pakistan's Ministry of Defense, is visiting the Kingdom of Bahrain Jan. 14-18 to improve relations between the defense forces of the two countries.

During the visit, the delegation will hold meetings with dignitaries from the Bahrain Defense Force, including Bahrain's Minister of State for Defense Affairs, Chief of Staff, and the Bahrain National Guard commander.

The Pakistani delegation is scheduled to visit Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command and the headquarters of Combined Task Force (CTF) 150. CTF 150 is commanded by Pakistani Commodore Khan Hasham Bin Saddique.

CTF 150 is responsible for operations in the Gulf of Oman, Gulf of Aden, the Red Sea and the North Arabian Sea. Operations in the 5th Fleet Area of operations are focused on reassuring regional partners of the coalition's commitment to help set conditions for security and stability.
