NAVY
General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems of Pittsfield, Massachusetts is being awarded Strategic Systems Programs Contract N00030-08-C-0041 in the amount of $91,322,561 to provide the FY2008 through FY2009 U.S. and U.K. Fire Control System and the U.S. SSGN Attack Weapon Control System (AWCS). Specific efforts include U.S. and U.K. operational support, repair, installation, and checkout; Mod 6/7 development and production; Mod 8/9 development; Engineered Refueling Overhaul Support; Training Unique Development; AWCS; Auxiliary Systems Tech Refresh; AWCS Mod 0 updates; Conventional TRIDENT Modification development; and Mk 6 Life Extension development. The period of performance is 01 October 2007 through 02 April 2011. The place of performance (100%) is General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, Pittsfield, MA. This is a cost plus incentive fee contract (incentives on cost, performance, and schedule) awarded based on a sole source acquisition. The funding profile is as follows: $2,978,000 FY2007 UK (3.3 percent), $35,613,891 FY2007 OPN (39 percent), $2,327,403 FY2008 SCN (2.5 percent), $27,865,698 FY2008 O&M,N (30.5 percent), $9,973,000 FY2008 UK (10.9 percent), $9,096,830 FY2008 OPN (10.0 percent), $3,467,739 FY2008 WPN (3.8 percent). Lockheed Martin, Maritime Systems & Sensors, Moorestown, N.J., is being awarded a $42,000,000 cost-plus-award-fee, level-of-effort modification exercise an option under previously awarded contract N00024-03-C-5115, for engineering services relative to DDG 51 Class and CG 47 Class Aegis Combat System installation, integration and test, and fleet life cycle engineering support for the Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems. Work will be performed in Moorestown, N.J., and is expected to be completed by September 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington Navy Yard, D.C., is the contracting activity.
Insight Technology, Inc., ofLondonderry, NH is being awarded a $24,885,386 contract for the production, delivery and support for the amount of 2192 Individual Weapon Night Sights, Thermal (IWNS-T). The IWNS-Twill provide individual marine riflemen a Rifle Combat Optic compatible night sight, able to be clipped on and off of the family of modular U.S. service rifles. Work will be performed in Londonderry, NH. Delivery of systems is expected to begin in January of 2008 and to be completed by October of 2008 with support for the IWNS-Tto continue until November of 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured. The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Va., is the contracting activity.
ITT Industries, Van Nuys, Calif., is being awarded a $14,212,378 modification to exercise an option under previously awarded contract N00024-06-C-5204, for the Radar Obsolescence Availability Recovery Program for the AN/SPS-48E Radar System. The modification provides for procurement of engineering and technical services to design, integrate and test the AN/SPS-48G(V) Radar System upgrade. Work will be performed in Van Nuys, Calif., and is expected to be completed in June 2010. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington Navy Yard, D.C., is the contracting activity.
Northrop Grumman Corp., Electronic Systems, Sykesville, Md., is being awarded a $9,260,025 order against a previously awarded indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract (N68335-02-D-0023) for ten Valve Actuation and Control(VAC) system production units (four systems for CVN 77, five systems for CVN 70, and one system for shorebased). The VAC system is intended to replace the existing control and actuation system of the Mark 7 Aircraft Arresting Gear. Work will be performed in Sykesville, Md. and is expected to be completed in May 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity.
ARMY
General Dynamics Land Systems Division, was awarded on Nov. 15, 2007, $88,754,400 a firm-fixed-price contract for reset of 240 M1A2 Abrams tanks. Work will be performed in Lima, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was one bid solicited on Oct. 20, 2006, and one bid was received. The Tank, Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity W56HZV-06-G-0006.
Raytheon Missile Systems, Tucson, Ariz., was awarded on Nov. 15, 2007, a $48,474,997 firm-fixed-price contract for 115mm Excalibur artillery projectiles. Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was one bid solicited on March 16, 2007, and one bid was received. The Joint Munitions and Lethality Life Cycle Management Command, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., is the contracting activity W15QKN-07-C-0100.
*DTM Corp., Silver Spring, Md., was awarded on Nov. 15, 2007, a $12,759,948 firm-fixed-price contract for security officer services supporting the Pentagon Force Protection Agency. Work will be performed in Arlington, Va., and is expected to be completed by Nov. 20, 2010. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This web solicitation was announced on Dec. 21, 2005, and 17 bids were received. The Washington Headquarters Services, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity HQ0034-06-C-1002.
DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
Tennessee Apparel,* Tullahoma, Tenn., is being awarded a maximum $71,166,447 firm fixed price indefinite delivery contract for Navy task force uniform parkas. This acquisition was Web solicited with 4 responses. Using service is the Navy. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Date of performance completion is November 21, 2008.
