MND-B unit targeted by small arms fire attack
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO

BAGHDAD — A Multi-National Division-Baghdad Soldier was killed during a small-arms fire attack while conducting combat operations in an eastern section of the Iraqi capital Sept. 25.

Soldiers in this unit continue to conduct deliberate clearing operations in this area of Baghdad targeting improvised explosive device cells. These operations aid in disrupting insurgents’ ability to emplace IEDs targeting Coalition Forces, Iraqi Security Forces and Iraqi civilians.

The deceased Soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
