MND-B troops attacked during combat operations
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO
BAGHDAD — Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldiers continue to work alongside their Iraqi Security Forces counterparts to establish conditions for a stable and self-reliant Iraq through ongoing combined security operations in the capital.
A Multi-National Division-Baghdad Soldier was killed and two others wounded during combat operations in a western section of the Iraqi capital Sept. 4.
Soldiers from this unit continue to conduct combined clearing and cordon and search operations in order to reduce sectarian violence and help set the conditions for the improvement of essential services, economic growth, local governance and the transition of security operations with Iraqi Security Forces in the lead.
The deceased Soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
