WASHINGTON (NNS) -- The senior leadership of the Navy and Air Force held warfighter talks Aug. 3 at the Ronald Reagan Building here.

Flag and general officers from both services gathered to discuss areas of cooperation in order to increase joint warfighting capabilities.

The conference provided a forum for discussion on critical warfighting issues facing the services to include joint basing, command and control, intelligence/surveillance/reconnaissance and airborne electronic attack.

“The Navy/Air Force Warfighter Talks are a critical enabler of joint warfighting and this year’s talks expanded that dialog on common issues and potential efficiencies," said Vice Adm. Mark P. Fitzgerald, Director of Navy Staff. "This year’s talks were very successful and will no doubt result in improved unity of effort for operations, exercises, and combatant commander support.”

The services conduct these bilateral talks on a regular basis.
