USS ENTERPRISE, At Sea (NNS) -- Enterprise Strike Group hosted the three members of the Bosnia-Herzogovina presidency aboard USS Enterprise (CVN 65) (Big E) for a firsthand look at the ship and Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 1 on July 30.

Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina President Zeljko Komsic, as well as the other members of the three-member presidency, President Haris Silajdzic and President Nebojsa Radmanovic, observed an air-power demonstration from the navigation bridge and launches and recoveries from the flight deck.

We’re honored to have the presidents of Bosnia-Herzegovina aboard Enterprise,” said Horton. “It is important to gain the confidence of our allies in the [global] war on terrorism.”

Since arriving in the 6th Fleet area of responsibility July 16, Big E and CVW 1 have hosted several tours for distinguished visitors, including a sunset reception during its port visit to Cannes, France, attended by Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Europe, Adm. Henry G. Ulrich, III, French Chief of Naval Operations Amiral Oudot de Dainville and U.S. Ambassador to France, Craig R. Stapleton.

“I am tremendously proud of the crew aboard Big E, Carrier Air Wing 1 and the embarked Carrier Strike Group 12 staff,” said Horton. “During these highly visible, extremely important visits, their performance has been spot on. It is a testament to their dedication to be American ambassadors and carry our flag high.”
