MND-B patrol struck by improvised explosive device
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO
BAGHDAD — Four Multi-National Division - Baghdad Soldiers and an Iraqi interpreter were killed when an improvised explosive device detonated near their patrol during combat operations in an eastern section of the Iraqi capital July 18.
Units operating in this area of Baghdad continue to conduct combined clearing operations with their Iraqi Army counterparts in an effort to disrupt IED operations and continue to strengthen and enable Iraqi Security Force security operations.
The deceased Soldiers’ names are being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
