Suicide car bomber strikes MND-B patrol
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO

BAGHDAD — A Multi-National Division - Baghdad Soldier was killed and three other Soldiers were wounded when a suicide vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated near their patrol during combat operations west of the Iraqi capital July 8.

Units operating in this area west of Baghdad have had recent success working with local area sheiks in the reconciliation process. Continued operations in the area have also located numerous weapons caches and IEDs.

The deceased Soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
