Small arms fire targets MND-B patrol
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO
BAGHDAD — One Multi-National Division - Baghdad Soldier was killed when a combat patrol was targeted with small arms fire in a southern section of the Iraqi capital July 1.
Elements of this unit continue to conduct clearing operations in this part of Baghdad, disrupting extremist capabilities against Coalition Forces, Iraqi Security Forces and Iraqi civilians. These clearing operations will continue in an effort to help set the conditions for the transition of security operations with Iraqi Security Forces in the lead.
The deceased Soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
