IMMEDIATE RELEASE July 21, 2007

DoD Identifies Army Casualties


           

 

The Department of Defense announced today the death of four soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died July 18 in Adhamiyah, Iraq, of wounds sustained when their vehicle was attacked by enemy forces using an improvised explosive device and small arms fire. The Soldiers were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Schweinfurt, Germany.

Killed were:

Sgt. 1st Class Luis E. Gutierrez-Rosales, 38, of Bakersfield, Calif.,

Spc. Zachary R. Clouser, 19, of Dover, Pa.,

Spc. Richard Gilmore III, 22, of Jasper, Ala., and

Spc. Daniel E. Gomez, 21, of Warner Robbins, Ga.
