MND-B patrol struck by improvised explosive device
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO

BAGHDAD — A Multi-National Division-Baghdad Soldier was killed when a roadside bomb detonated near a Coalition vehicle during combat operations in an eastern section of Baghdad June 27. Four other Soldiers were also wounded in the attack.

Elements of this unit continue to conduct targeted raids in this area of the Iraqi capital in order to locate and capture known insurgents operating in the area.

The deceased Soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
