MND-B patrol struck by improvised explosive device
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO

BAGHDAD — Four Multi-National Division-Baghdad Soldiers were killed when a roadside bomb detonated near a Coalition vehicle during combat operations northwest of Baghdad June 23. An Iraqi interpreter was also wounded in the attack.

Elements of this unit continue to conduct targeted raids in this area north of the Iraqi capital in order to deny local insurgent safe havens. These raids have successfully seven suspected insurgents in the last two days.

The deceased Soldiers’ names are being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
