Small arms fire targets MND-B patrol
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO
BAGHDAD — A Multi-National Division-Baghdad Soldier was killed when a patrol was attacked with small arms fire during combat operations in an eastern section of the Iraqi capital June 18.
No other Soldiers were wounded during the attack.
This unit continues to conduct combined clearing operations with their National Police counterparts in an effort to reduce sectarian violence and create a safe and secure environment for local families in eastern Baghdad.
The deceased Soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
