Improvised explosive device strikes MND-B patrol
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO
BAGHDAD — Multi-National Division – A Multi-National Division-Baghdad Soldier was killed when a roadside bomb detonated during combat operations in an eastern section of the Iraqi capital June 6. One other Soldier was wounded in the attack.
Elements of this unit continue to conduct clearing operations in this area of Baghdad. These operations are designed to disrupt insurgent activity, targeting explosively formed penetrater and indirect fire cells, in an effort to provide a more secure environment for Iraqi citizens.
The deceased Soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
