Small arms fire targets MND-B patrol
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO

BAGHDAD — A Multi-National Division - Baghdad Soldier was killed when his patrol was attacked with small arms fire in a southern section of the Iraqi capital June 5.

In the past week, elements of this unit conducted joint clearing operations in this area of Baghdad with their Iraqi National Police counterparts. Eleven weapons caches have been found during these operations helping to reduce the threat of insurgent attacks and aid in providing a more secure and safe living environment for the Iraqi people.

The deceased Soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
