MND-B patrol targeted by roadside bomb
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO
BAGHDAD — While conducting a combined cordon and search operation, four Multi-National Division - Baghdad Soldiers died when an improvised explosive device struck their vehicle northwest of the Iraqi capital June 3.
Soldiers from this unit continue to conduct numerous combined cordon and search operations with their Iraqi Army counterparts. These combined operations in this area are designed to disrupt insurgent activity, targeting IED-making cells, in an effort to provide a more secure environment for Iraqi citizens.
The deceased Soldiers’ names are being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
