Task Force Lightning Soldiers attacked
Multi-National Division – North PAO

TIKRIT, Iraq – One Task Force Lightning Soldier died of wounds sustained from an explosion that occurred near his vehicle while conducting operations in Diyala Province, Saturday.

Two Soldiers were also wounded and transported to a Coalition medical facility for treatment.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending next of kin notification and release by the Department of Defense.
