Small arms fire targets MND-B patrol
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO

BAGHDAD – Baghdad Soldier was killed when a patrol was attacked with small arms fire in the eastern section of the Iraqi capital May 31.

In the past week, elements of this unit have found weapons caches including homemade explosives, small arms weapons, ammunition and a nearly completed vehicle borne improvised explosive device.

Finding these weapons caches helps reduce the threat of terrorist attacks and aids in providing a more secure and safe living environment for the Iraqi people.

The deceased Soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
