Sagem Défense Sécurité signs an agreement with Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd

Sagem Defense Sécurité (SAFRAN Group) and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) have announced an agreement signed on June 20th, during the International Paris Air Show at Le Bourget, aiming to setting up a joint venture in India for production and maintenance of inertial navigation systems and automatic flight control systems.

The agreement has been signed between Mr AK Baweja (Chairman HAL) and Mr JP Herteman (Chairman and CEO Sagem Défense Sécurité), in presence of Mr KP Singh (Secretary Defence Production), and Mr JP Béchat, (Chief Executive Officer, SAFRAN Group).

The joint venture will be established subject to final approval of both government authorities.

This agreement paves the way of a long term partnership of Sagem Défense Sécurité and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd to address current and future programmes on the Indian and international markets.
