Boeing Statement on U.S. Air Force C-130 AMP Recertification

ST. LOUIS, June 06, 2007 -- The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] today learned that the U.S. Air Force C-130 Avionics Modernization Program (AMP), for which it is under contract, has been recertified by the U.S. Department of Defense.

We are extremely pleased with the decision to recertify the program and remain committed to providing this stellar capability the warfighter so urgently needs. The announcement paves the way for the program to continue upgrading 222 C-130 aircraft so warfighters will have a platform that provides increased situational awareness, commonality and flexibility at one tenth the cost of a new, basic C-130J aircraft.

Today's recertification announcement reaffirms that, by every measure of program health - cost, quality, technology and execution - the Boeing C-130 AMP is a successful program.
