IMMEDIATE RELEASE June 18, 2007

DoD Identifies Army Casualties


           

 

The Department of Defense announced today the death of two soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died June 16 in Rashidiyah, Iraq, of wounds suffered when the vehicle they were in struck an improvised explosive device. They were assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 12th Field Artillery Regiment, 4th Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team), Ft. Lewis, Wash.

Killed were:

Sgt. Danny R. Soto, 24, of Houston, Texas.

Spc. Zachary A. Grass, 34, of Beach City, Ohio.
