MND-B patrol struck by roadside bomb
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO

BAGHDAD – Two MND-B Soldiers were killed when their patrol was struck by an improvised explosive device in a western section of the Iraqi capital May 24.

An Iraqi interpreter was also killed in the attack.

One other MND-B Soldier was wounded in the attack.

Elements of this unit have conducted joint operations with the Iraqi Army in the past several weeks.

The Soldiers’ work with the Iraqi Army has helped build the Iraq forces as a more professional and effective security force serving the Iraqi people and its elected government, providing a safer environment for Iraqis citizens to work and live.

Joint efforts continue in this section of the Iraqi capital in support of Operation Fardh Al-Qanoon.

The deceased Soldiers’ names are being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
