MND-B patrol targeted by small arms fire
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO

BAGHDAD —An MND-B Soldier was killed when a patrol was attacked with small arms fire in a western section of the Iraqi capital May 24.

Elements of this unit have conducted several joint operations with the Iraqi Army in the past few weeks, resulting in the discovery of caches including equipment used by insurgents to carry out attacks against Iraqi citizens.

The removal of these caches helps provide a safer environment for Iraqis to work and live.

Joint efforts continue in this section of the Iraqi capital in support of Operation Fardh Al-Qanoon.

The deceased Soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
