Northrop Grumman Selected to Provide Department of Defense With Identity Management Services

HERNDON, Va., May 14, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The U.S. Army's Communications-Electronics Command has selected Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) to provide identity management and personnel data collection services to the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC).

DMDC is responsible for the management of personnel data for active and retired U.S. military and their families. Under the $51 million contract, Northrop Grumman is providing project management, research and analysis to ensure data integrity used for practices such as benefits administration, and personnel and readiness decision-making. Delivery services also include Internet-based products. This contract consists of a one-year base and three option years.

The work will be performed primarily in Seaside, Calif., at DMDC headquarters in Arlington, Va., and other locations.
