Small arms fire targets MND-B patrol
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO

BAGHDAD — A Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldiers Soldier was killed when a combat patrol was attacked with small arms fire in an eastern section of Baghdad April 28.

MND-B and their Iraqi security force counterparts continue to set the conditions for a stable and self –reliant Iraq, conducting operations in support of Operation Fardh Al-Qanoon.

Elements of this unit continue to conduct combined clearing operations with their Iraqi Army counterparts in this area of the Iraqi capital. Coalition and Iraqi security forces continue these operations to reduce sectarian violence in an overall effort to control this area.

The deceased Soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
