Roadside bomb strikes MND-B patrol
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO
BAGHDAD — Two MND-B Soldiers died and one other was wounded when their vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device north of Baghdad April 18. The unit was returning from a combat patrol in the area when the attack occurred.
Iraqi security forces and Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldiers continue conducting operations in support of Operation Fardh Al-Qanoon, helping set the conditions for a stable, secure and self-reliant Iraq.
Elements of this unit recently conducted targeted raids north of the Iraqi capital aimed at disrupting IED cell operations. Five suspected insurgents were detained as a result of these raids.
The deceased Soldiers’ names are being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
