MND-B patrol ends with small arms fire
Multi-National Division – Baghdad Public Affairs

BAGHDAD – A Multi-National Division-Baghdad Soldier died when a combat security patrol was attacked with small arms fire in a southwestern section of the Iraqi capital April 16. One other Soldier was wounded during the attack.

MND-B Soldiers and their Iraqi security forces counterparts continue to set the conditions for a stable and self –reliant Iraq, conducting operations in support of Operation Fardh Al-Qanoon.

Elements of this unit have recently conducted combined clearing operations aimed at fully integrating their Iraqi national police counterparts into the community and gaining familiarity with the local populace.

The deceased Soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
