MND-B patrol ends with IED strike
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO
BAGHDAD — An MND-B Soldier died and one other was wounded when their vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device south of Baghdad April 12. The unit was conducting a security patrol in the area when the attack occurred.
Elements of the unit have conducted multiple road clearing operations in the past few weeks, resulting in finding more than a dozen improvised explosive devices, clearing roads and providing safe routes for Iraqis citizens and Iraqi and Coalition Forces to safely travel.
The deceased Soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
