MND-B patrol attacked in west Baghdad
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO
BAGHDAD — One MND-B Soldier died and three others were wounded when an improvised explosive device detonated in a western section of the Iraqi capital April 6.
The unit was attacked while conducting a security patrol of the area.
Over the past two weeks, elements of this unit found a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device and successfully disarmed it Operations like this one help reduce the threat of insurgent attacks and continue to aid in providing a more secure and safe living environment for the Iraqi people.
Security operations continue in the Iraqi capital in support of Operation Fardh Al-Qanoon, as Iraqi security forces and Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldiers help set on-going conditions for a stable and self-reliant Iraq.
The deceased Soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
